In a surprising turn of events, Johnny English and Smurfs have been pushed down a place to make way for this weekends new number 1: Tower Heist. The Ben Stiller/Eddie Murphy comedy has had mostly positive reviews and it’s great to see something new at the top of the heap. Out of the rest of last weeks new releases only Shark Knight managed to make it to the list, leaving 50/50, Anonymous, and Attack the Block in the dust. With that, Abduction and The Change-Up leave the fray with Friends With Benefits gripping on tightly for yet another week.
New films releasing this week are Apollo 18, Immortals, Beginners, Shanghai, and the Devil’s Double. There’s been a lot of shade around reviews for Immortals but you can look forward to my review on early Friday. It’s a busy week keep your eyes here as new reviews will flow in as the days pass.
